Hello. Here's a page where I can say "Welcome" - and thanks for visiting. I’ll comment on my website, in general, and where I'm at now - with my long-gestating career as an artist.

I've created fourteen (14) Galleries, on different subjects, gathered mostly from my travels. Many of these images are destined to become treasured acquisitions as fine art prints - but there is no commercial feature enabled on this site - yet. Please note: All images are copyright protected.

For now, this site is a showcase of my photographic art. Over the years, I've taken great pleasure in capturing scenes, highlighting their intrinsic beauty, and producing prints and calendars. Many of these products I have given away - and some I have sold. Now, I'm preparing for what's next in 2021 - and beyond.

What I envision: 1) Gallery exhibits - in Finland, Europe, and the US; 2) Arrangements with dealers and printers to distribute fine art prints; 3) Collaborations with publishers on Photo-art books; and 4) Publication of my creative writing - poetry, fiction, and non-fiction.

At each Gallery page, I have a brief (philosophical) introduction. As some know, I love to write - and enjoy the marriage of words and images. And, to appease my theatrical side, if we could only add music, a stage, and dance numbers - Well, then we’d be talking!

Back to the photos (aka, my images). I like to say that there is beauty all around us - if we but stop and look. The fun for me is to capture such beauty - and present it to others as art. As can be seen, I'm a big fan of colors - and light and shadows. Spoiler alert: I don't capture scenes of pathos or strife - or those which would evoke a gloomy response. This is not a judgment, just my choice.

Most images have a caption which includes the photo location, seen in the expanded view. On a Windows-based monitor or laptop, move the cursor into an enlarged image. Captions will display at the bottom. On an Android phone: Click on the small white dot [o] below the image. Captions will display under the image. If you have Apple devices, things may be a bit different.

Besides my Galleries, I have some sample poems under the tab “Poetry” - and recently, I added a Travelogue page “Paris: 05.2019” - with photos from my first-ever visit to Paris in May 2019.
